Lose Weight with Acomplia

June 8th, 2009

Many people in the world suffer from extra weight and desire to get rid of it. Opinions are different: diets, exercises, surgeries or medications are used by people who want to become slimmer. Acomplia Rimonabant is the choice of those who do prefer to keep eating full meals and do not have time for exercises.

The drug has been approved by European Union in June 2006 as a weight-loss pill. It is known in the USA as Zimulti, but while some sources say it has already been approved for use there the others write that FDA has not accepted Acomplia yet and requested for editional information to study the work of the drug more closely.

This pill works with the CB-1 receptors that are present all over human’s body. The receptors are responsible for food intake, glucose and fat metabolism and they also cause the feeling of hunger. Acopmlia blocks the work of the receptors and the patient stops feeling hungry. This prevents the large intakes of food which are usually common for obese people. The tests have shown that with the drugs people were losing about 2 lbs per week. Jean Pierre Despres, PhD, professor of food and nutrition sciences at Laval University, in Montreal who studied the work of Acomplia has noted its wonderful effects: “Those who stay on drug for a year show remarkable weight loss: 17 pounds.”

It has been noticed that the drug is not only beneficial for those who want to lose weight. Acomplia Rimonabant reduces the risk of cardiovascular heart disease and diabetes, increases blood pressure and helps to quit smoking. Over 6,500 smokers were taking the pill for about a year and besides losing weight and improving their heart health they were motivated to stop smoking. The tests have also shown that Acomplia increases HDL-cholesterol (“good” cholesterol) level, balances out triglycerides and HbA1C (the molecules responsible for blood sugar control).

The dosage of Acomplia is really easy: one 20mg pill should be taken by mouth with a glass of water once a day before breakfast. It is strongly recommended to swallow the tablet without chewing. Being crushed before it reaches the stomach Acomplia may alter chemical process which will lead to unwanted side effects.

Even if the pill is taken in a right way some side-effects might occur. The most common ones are nausea, diarrhea, dizziness and mood swings. However, if the person is strong enough to stand the symptoms the weight loss results will impress both the participant and all the people around.
